ALP International Projects teams have visited PNG to assist political parties in the leadup to national elections in July 2007. With the adoption of an Australian-style Limited Preferential Voting (LPV) system, Papua New Guinea’s parties will increasingly need to forge preference deals to secure election. Through our International Projects we will continue to deliver training and capacity building to PNG parties as they prepare for the elections in July.
