The Progressive Summit was convened in Sydney, 12-14 December 2006. The summit brought together some 30 leading thinkers in global progressive politics for dialogue and exchange on the key issues facing democracy in Australia and around the world.
Australian Labor’s International Projects will continue to strengthen links between progressive political parties.
This important initiative has contributed to the development of our strategy of political engagement in our region and globally. International Projects believe that Asia and the Pacific are sites of critical global importance to the development of democratic polities. We will continue to draw on international best practice in the delivery of our governance assistance in the region, while simultaneously contributing to global dialogues on democratic governance.
